Features: Digital Services currently has 3 Nikon Super CoolScan 5000 ED slide scanners in production. The Nikon Super CoolScan 5000 ED is a fixed film, movable plane single-pass optical scanning system used in the reproduction of negatives and positives, in color and monochrome, 35mm mounted slides and 35mm film strips. The slide scanner will capture a 2 – 6 frame 35mm film strip and using a slide feeder attachment, supports up to 50 mounted 35mm slides for automated imaging. The Nikon Super CoolScan 5000 ED also allows scans of up to 4000 dpi.
How we use it: Digitization of main queue items such as 35mm mounted slides and 35mm film strips
